The movie "Female Trouble" will forever be a cult classic Christmas movie. In honor of Divine's character Dawn Davenport getting pregnant and wanting money, I decided to produce a limited edition smaller size of the large piece that I did and took to Camp John Waters to have signed.
These smaller versions are 5x7 and done the same way that the large one was done. These are several laser cut and engraved pieces, pieced together on a 5x7 art board that has several layers of multi colored acrylic paint applied in an abstract style. The face is dye sublimation printed and laser cut, the area with the words is made from mirror acrylic and features fluorescent pink letters that glow in black light and her green-yellow and black dress is also made from material that will glow under black light.
True to the larger piece, these smaller versions also have removable sunglasses that are attached to the face with small neodynium magnets and can be taken off and put on at your whim! These are NOT permanently affixed.
Because these are all done individually by hand the paint pattern on the one you receive will vary, because of the nature of how these are painted, they will not be identical, however all of the core pieces (all the laser cut pieces in the center) will be the same. I do use the same paint palette for these so the color scheme will be the same but the way these are painted can't be done identical, which essentially makes each one a one of a kind piece.
Because of the labor intensive nature of these, I am limiting these to 50. Each will be laser engraved on the back with my artist signature/brand logo and numbered with your unique edition number. I will send these out in the order in which they are received. Please be patient with me in getting these out as they do take a lot of time to do and they are not a ready to ship item.
