Dan Lacey, also known as "The Painter of Pancakes" was a much loved and incredibly talented artist known in the purple community for his bright spirit and his generous heart. He maintained the Riley Creek tunnel and watched over the art left on the Riley Creek Tunnel fence. Dan would spend many days outside of Paisley Park painting and sharing stories and smiles with anyone that would pay their visit and respect to Paisley Park and Riley Creek (also known as Graffiti Bridge).
Dan got diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive form of brain cancer known as Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM), which has a high fatality rate. Dan received surgery and various treatments and procedures to treat his GBM but unfortunately lost his fight and walked over the Graffiti Bridge to the beyond.
The costs incurred for Dan's treatments and care is astronomical and this design was done to pay tribute to this wonderful and gifted man. All net proceeds of the sale of these will be directly given to Dan's family to help them.
